Website Project

Welcome to your website project
We’re excited to begin building your new website! This page outlines our process so you’ll know exactly what to expect at each stage. Our goal is to make the journey clear, collaborative, and efficient.

Our Approach

Every project is managed through a unique, customised timeline. This timeline outlines:

  • Draft submission dates – when you can expect to receive updated versions of your website.

  • Feedback deadlines – when we’ll require your input to stay on track.

By aligning on these dates, we create a structured process that ensures efficiency and accountability on both sides.

Project Stages & Drafts

Our development process is broken into distinct stages, each building on the last.

Assets

What do assets mean?
These are all the elements we require in order to get started on the project.
These include the following:

  • Brand Guide
  • Logo files (hi-res vector)
  • All website copy (about story, services, offerings, contact information)
  • Images (i.e team photo, office, service images, stock images, product images and lifestyle)
  • Any additional documents (guides, PDFs, etc)
  • Blog/articles
  • Products
All product names, descriptions, features, images, pricing, stock, etc
  • Terms and conditions, returns policy, privacy policy, shipping and FAQs
  • Contact information
  • Domain/hosting information
Hosting logins or FTP and control panel logins

First Draft: Design Look & Feel

  • Presentation of the homepage and core design direction.

  • Establishes colors, fonts, layout style, and overall user experience.

  • This is the stage to refine the visual identity of your site.

Second Draft: Core Pages & Functionality

  • Build-out of all additional pages (About, Services, Blog, Product Listings, etc. depending on your project scope).

  • Integration of functionality such as forms, e-commerce products, and blog structures.

  • By this stage, you’ll start to see the full structure of your site coming together.

Third Draft: Content & Refinements

  • Incorporates your feedback from the previous drafts.

  • Adjustments to design, content placement, and functionality.

  • This is where we polish details and prepare the site for final review.

Final Draft: Pre-Launch Review

  • A complete version of the website presented for final checks.

  • Any last small adjustments can be made.

  • Once signed off, the site is queued for launch.

Go Live: Launch Day

  • Your website is taken live. We do a prelaunch of the website the day before so that we can connect analytics, do mobile responsiveness, index the website and all our final checks. You website will be live to the public the day after stated in your timeline.

  • Final quality assurance testing is conducted.

  • DNS updates and other technical steps are completed to ensure a smooth launch.

Feedback & Sign-Off Process

To keep things efficient and organised:

  • All feedback must be provided through the unique markup link you will receive. This ensures comments are tracked accurately.

  • Each draft must be signed off against the original brief before moving forward.

  • Requests beyond the original scope will require a revised quote and may extend the project timeline.

Your Role in the Process

Your timely feedback is critical to keeping the project on schedule. We ask that you:

  • Review drafts carefully and provide consolidated feedback by the agreed deadlines.

  • Ensure content (text, images, videos, etc.) is supplied in line with the project plan.

  • Communicate clearly if you require additional functionality outside the agreed scope.
